That "light shadow" is the horse's breath. I tried really hard to get a photo where you could see it well and this one was the best. Guess it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. It happens

Poor thing needs a blanket. Everything looks good with the photo although it looks like there is a light shadow or something in front of the horse.
