I like such one -time (no a special preparations) photos. The colors are nature, DOF and light are good. Pleasant shot by the compact camera, John.
My notes about the noise on enlarged size photo:
Use forced ISO=50 (if it can) on program Mode, do not use Auto mode with ISO=Auto.:idea: I do it on my Canon a95 and as you can see the photos have very low noise even on night photos:thumbsup:
I would like to test a camera from you ... but I live so far.

sometimes a snapshot is much more than a snapshot and this is one of those times....very well done and great composition. normally i wanna see a horizontal backround but this works perfectly with all of the angles tilted down and to the left. super shot!!!

Notes.

David: I also manually select my ISO setting and I always try to use the lowest possible ISO. With this camera the lowest is ISO 64. I might have shot this at ISO 200 by accident. I might have forgotten to change it back. Or it might have been dark where this was taken. I can't remember.

Michael: Take a look through my photos. You'll notice that I almost never take pictures of people with a horizontal background. I love the tilt!
