Well I hope the skill, on my part, gets better!! I'm not gonna stop trying tho. I like it too much! I did not know that about one of Ansel Adams pictures. He was very lucky. I drop my camera and get a pic of dirt. Did I tell you I broke my Chinon? Waiting for the new one to get here. I had the Chinon on the tripod and the wind (it gets very windy here in Wyoming) started blowing and knocked it over. I can't wait for the other to get here. I missed having it while at a Festival in Red Lodge over the past weekend. My digital does not take close-ups from a distance very well. Oh well....just learning more patience. Have a great one.

Sometimes the best images we capture are the ones we never meant to take. Case in point: One of the most famous pictures taken by Ansel Adams was clicked off after he dropped his camera on the side of a mountain. Sometimes we just get lucky. Skill comes with time, the learning never stops, and there will always be somebody that makes you feel as though you have wasted years of your life.
When you do manage to take a good photo just be happy with it.

Thanks, have a confession to make, wasn't a picture that thrilled me and was just messing with it. The ones I try hard with come out icky and the others, that come out nice, are usually accidents. Hope that changes soon.

Yeah this is great. If I didn't know better I would think this was an image circa 1931 during the dust bowl years. It really has a stalwart beauty.

I am glad you like it!!! I do too. Just seemed right with the sepia tone given the subject of the photo. Was fun. Thanks so much!
