Hit him in the shoulder but he's fine, though he doesn't understand why they call it softball. I don't know if this photo was before or after the impact. I used the burst mode on the camera and shot 3 frames right at the time it was going over the plate. Only post processing was cropping. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey,put a helmet on...I know of a little leaguer that was knocked out by a blow to the head by a...yes,a softball. hope he is all good, great expression

Yeah - I think we need to know if he got beaned. It sure looks like he did. But I know the perspective might be playing tricks on us.
This photo would be helped a lot by some post-processing. It's a bit dark, flat, and undersaturated. Careful setup would make the ball stand out more and give the photo more "pop." Don't know if it would save your boy, though. Hope he didn't get hurt too bad.
