I KNOW what's going on, where you were and the restrictions you're under. Now, I also KNOW what they're doing, why they're doing it, and what rules they've broken. LMAO, great job bro!

Thanks...to all!
Thrilling to say the least.
O.K. I'll provide additonal details,adress a couple of questions/comments.
Yes, the plane is following way too close..I'll call it drafting. yeah... that's Nascar U.S.A.F style.hehehe.
The 2nd C-130 is hot doggin'/ goofing off for the photo op'.These flyboys love to show off.Next,You don't get any closer to the rear of the plane with out being safety harnessed. The tail ramp is actually at a 45 degrees up position in this shot.
The rear opening of the plane is a lot bigger if the ramp is lower, but it's not safe to open ramp, walk around inside taking pic.s.
The guy in pic, is the load master, he's goofin' off also.He is harnessed in,hanging half way out at +180 knots. The tripod was left in place, for safety,as it was being used.
The tail hanging in the top area of the pic is a safety cord for the closure of the ramp.
For me;The best part of this picture is the propeller speed being captured...
Note;just the right amount of prop flash.
Enjoy!

This is great. The silhouettes in the open bay and the plane trailing is quite a sight. Also, the landscape is clear with the horizon in the distance adds to the visual. I like that the plane trailing seems to be banking right. I might have wanted all of the open bay to be in the frame and perhaps set up somewhat symetrical in the frame, but this shot needs no technical perfections as the subject matter and the scene is enough. Very good.

Wow. Definitely not your run of the mill shot. I really dig the composition here. My nit picks would be the tail hanging from above and the tripod. I really like the silhou. of the guy hangin out of the plane and of course the plane tailing you guys.
Nice stuff!

very cool, certainly not your everyday shot (for most of us). Why is the airplane so close behind?
