St Oswald's church in Horton in Ribblesdale. the main body of the church dates from around 1100 and the tower dates from 1400's. The mountain in the background is Pen y Ghent. It was taken with a Canon 30D with a Sigma 10-20mm lens and Hoya Pro CPL filter.

a really nice shot! Love the contrast and lighting. That big green bush needs trimming.

POD is picture of the day that is selected by PR and appears on the Home page for a 24 hour period. I also have it selected to appear on my Goggle Home page when a start up my computer. So each morning the first thing I see is the PR Picture of the Day. Your image was the POD on Wednesday of this week.

This is really nice, Andy! Love the composition with the wide-angle lens and the slouds rushing away towards the corners. The light is great, too. If it were my photo I think I'd brighten it up a bit and add some contrast to get a bit more pop. It feels just a bit dark and flat to me. I almost always try to make sure there's a little pure white in my final images to give them a full range of tones.
