Nice compostion and good eye. I can't help but wonder if it wouldn't work better as a horizontal. All that sky does add a feeling of small emptiness. But - at least at this size - it's hard to see the two people. Going horizontal and giving up the sky might strengthen the image by better drawing our attention to the two lonely people.
