Wow that looks like some hike. Beautiful place, the ocean is a gorgeous color. You must have been shooting on the short end of that 18-200 to get that perspective.

Yes, Rick, this was about 10:00 a.m., when the park ranger opens the stair gates. The weather was amazing -- it's often foggy, windy, cold. And YES, there are 310 stairs plus some stretches of ramp; the sign at the top of the stairs says it's equivalent to 30 stories.
Pt. Reyes National Seashore and the surrounding area is a great place to visit -- but one day isn't enough to do it justice.
