Not only contrasting colors, but nice form! Reminisent(sp) of an open mouth (blue as the tongue) of a bird or animal. Certainly this is one of the ornamental attraction to this particular flower type.
A little different background in terms of composition or more bokeh could really enhance the photo.
Love the colors and form of primary subject, but the background is very distracting. Try and little PS on that background and you got a winner.Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
