I've been thinking about this one for several days.
The lines in this photo really works well against the light. Usually when the sun is almost directly overhead is a terrible time to make photos. This time with the elements and the choice of B/W it borders on the abstract.
The decking and railings running at a slight angle is what for me accentuates the light.
The cushion on the bench is unfortunate. It does something to the image I want to ponder some more, but my present feeling is it detracts more than adds, yet the the bench without it wouldn't work the same way. Mhmmm...
