A greyscale conversion.The time of day was an issue. harsh light,shadows and less than ideal shooting conditions.

If you were using CS3 you might try playing with the individual colour sliders under "adjustments -> convert to B&W". You might also try using the "shadow highlight" tool under adjustments. I think the shadows in the foreground need to be opened up a bit.
I like the dramatic sky.

I've been campaigning for a revival of some good black and white and this is a terrific example. Definently an 11 .

Nice job Rick. You maintained pretty good detail in the shadow areas even with the harsh light. I think wposloski is right though, you might wan to try and lighten the shadow areas a bit to give the image a little more impact. Congrats on the POD!

Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
