Wow! That is some funky color. And I confess - I like it! But I think you need a better black-and-white conversion to really make this work. It looks like you just did a plain desaturate or used a digital in-camera black-and-white setting. Those generally result in very flat, somewhat lifeless black-and-white tones. And that's what this looks like. The best way to get a good B&W image from digital is to use the channel mixer tool. It makes a huge difference and pretty accurately imitates the tonal qualities of black-and-white film.
Very creative. I recommend trying it with a new B&W image conversion, though.
