Great shot Rick. The Pacific Coast Highway is a beautiful scenic drive. Can you tell me what time of the day when this was taken as I've had trouble getting good exposures there.

Jack, This was taken at 4:30 p.m. I used a Hoya C-P.L filter. I have found that it's almost a foolproof way to use the harsh light to your advantage,it's adjustable to get the ocean color contrast you want.

I cheated a bit Jack.The S1iS has a liveview LCD. I saw this before I clicked it.

Thanks Rick, I have filters but I've been there at the wrong time. Next time I will make sure I'm on the coast in late afternoon.
