Experimental;Grid mapping. It took 1 second... LOL
I sat the camera on a fence post,here it is @ 50mm.

It's nothin' fancy... but,It was a first attempt at a shot such as this. Conditions were tough...There was total light distortion from warm air rising .
The solution to that was the 1 second shutter to maximize sharpness. Initial manual settings-> ISO 800.Preset WB / vivid mode.
Can you see great depth in this at thumbnail level ? LOL.I thought it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this one... I'm here to learn.

Details;This was shot from a vantage point 1280 feet above the valley floor.,It's only a small fraction of the actual Silicon Valley "Grid".
Click to enlarge; You can see the San Jose State University baseball stadium lighting the interstate 280/101 interchange.
Downtown San Jose architecture is just a tad to the right or north from this stadium.
Some post work performed... Color balance / tone mods and contrast adjustments .What do ya think of this as the final result? Thanks
