When these old ferries were still in regular service - As the boat started backing out, the "driver" made his way along the top of the roof from the one control cabin to the other.

This one was built in 1892

Shouldn't there be more people on that ferry? Why don't you sign up for the trip...think of the photo opportunities from out on the water.

I guess this is better quality (sharpness) than on another two. I think some experiments and adjusting will be usuful.
Nice shot Glenn (like a SLR!).

Dana - at the moment these ferries are engaged , in competition with another company, in a direct run to the nearest island which is involved in demonstrating old Arts and Crafts (but NOT at old prices!) and it's just possible that the wooden seats are rather low ? ? ?

Agree Pam but those wooden seats leave you with a corrugated bum
