I have never been there and God forbid that I ever find myself in such a situation but I can only imagine that the death of a child must be the biggest sorrow that can be bestowed upon parents. I was rather reluctant in posting this photo because of the intense agony and torment associated with the passing away of a little one. Nonetheless, I am of the believe that photography should portray good and bad, happiness and sadness and the positive and negative sides of life.
This old, unknown childs grave rather touched me as it was alone and quite a distance away from the others. The little angel and the ironwork surrounding it is quite weathered as well. I imagine the parents of this child are long deceased. There's no headstone, name or dates anywhere on or near the grave which added to the sense of mystery surrounding it. To add to that, I coloured the photo in sepia.
