What do you think of the way I framed this??
Does this image work with the rule of thirds??
I had a tough time deciding how to crop this.

Amazingly quiet and clear reflections, good colors, but as you mention, the composition isn't quite certain yet. You may want to ask yourself "what's the subject"--i.e., why did I take the picture? That should help you decide on the final crop--what do you want to emphasize and what's beautiful, but "extra"?
Btw, I've stood at that spot (under 101, right?) and looked around for a pic, but haven't found one yet...if you look in the water around there, several large, dark brown carp are usually swimming around (along with ducks, etc.).

This is on Evelyn ave. One block down from Castro st. Across the street from the 85 onramp.The location is below the street level.
This water is actually Stevens Creek as it flows(barely trickles) though Mountain View. Looks like we are in for a drought this year.

Anyone have a solution to the final crop / composition? I like the graffitti.

Of course the reflection is amazing...I was in awe myself.

I thought about a wide 16 x 9 pano crop... Your thoughts... :idea:

my crop is 1488 pixel x 918 starting from top right hand corner...i'm cutting half of the black wall out but making the entire picture symmetrical..(to my eye?) in thirds, and then in half kind of..also leading you more to that little dark crook in the trees in upper right..i can send or post if u want
