It is so tricky to get the exposures right on these shots, as soon as that water starts to get frothy it turns white, so you have to expose for the white frothy parts. You have very little time to make adjustment for that, but every once in a while I get lucky

I keep thinking it would have been a little better tho if I had stepped down a tad and given a bit more perspective with the cliffs on the right hand side. My eyes keep going to the middle and I wanted the shot to lead the eyes outward towards the outcropping....

Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Thank you Jack. Due to a polarizer, time of year, overcast light... the colors do seem to pop out more. I used vivid on the color mode and actually desaturated some of the hue's too.

My eye is drawn to the center too. I think the lower perspective would look nice since the cliff is an attractive focal point as well. However, all the rocks (lower left, right, and lines in cliff in upper) point to the center to guide our eyes there. It all frames the "star of the show", the lovely water, which you gave the most perspective to. I like it best this way. A real beauty, Carl!
