Thanks Martin. I thought it was an old barn until I walked down into the field close to it and discovered it was a house and was sitting just about five feet from a steep creek bank. Got to believe that that creek has gotten much bigger and closer since that house was built.Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

way to go...this is just a really nice take on rural americana and i love it. i can hardly drive by old barns or cabins without wanting to jump out of the car and go exploring a little. good job!

I feel this is the stronger of the two House on the Creek images. It is more intimate and captivating both technically and emotionally. The other image is too detached and borders on mysterious without a reason.
The clarity and colors bring this scene to life.
One question I had with both photos, where is the Creek? I see very faint indications of where with the undergrowth it might be, but with this title I would like to have clear indication with or without obvious water.

Thanks C.D. for your thoughtful review of this image. The creek is obscured in these photo, but it is less than five feet from the front of the house. A steep bank that drops down to the creek. You have to believe that the creek was much smaller when this house was built.Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
