I like this better as well. I'd still like to see it a little brighter. Can't really pick out a true white and I think that ceiling should be. Am I right?Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I just replaced the previous one with this new one. My wife says it's an egg shell white. The full res. image is a little lighter than this one, but it is still a tad grayer than its actual color. Any suggestions on how to shoot this as to get closer to the real color? At first I thought it might be the light reflecting off the wall color but this is the same ceiling througout the house and it comes out about this color no matter what. Thanks again for taking the time.
This looks great I think you nailed it. You have an exposure lock on your camera. Take your meter reading from the brightest surface and lock in the exposure. Than recompose the pictures and shot. You can also accomplish this if you shot in manual mode. I also think you are right about the darker wall and the reflected light of them causing some problems.Don't forget about the Gallery. Thanks I hope that I have been of a little help to you Russ. If you want even more input try this one over on the Critique forum. Most of those guys will chime in with some good crits for you. I'm with you on this style photo although I have found that many time they are not appreciated by all. You have a good eye keep using it and posting more images. We all learn more by doing more.
