This one is awesome, Andy - especially for the "bike with no rider" category :-)
Of course, I wish there was a rider riding up the road or down the road. But I am guessing you were riding alone and this is what you had to work with. I know all about that. And under the circumstances, not taking a picture would have been a rotten sin. This scene and the light in the valley are too much to let pass. Good job on having the camera with you and getting the job done.
Like the last one I commented on, I think this photo would benefit from some post processing. I'd probably increases the contrast a bit overall and then do some selective work to make those sunbeams in the valley show up a little better.

Thanks for your kind comments John. Yes you're right I was riding alone otherwise I would have had a rider in the shot. I've done a bit of post processing but I'll have a look at adjusting the contrast to see what I can do.

awesome!! i like the rider-less bike resting on the fence just waiting to go down that road.....it creates, for me, a really nice tension and anticipation. super composition!!!
