Lela, captured using the Panasonic Lumix LX2's selectable 16:9 aspect ratio. I was able to shoot this photo handheld at 1/13th of a second, thanks to the LX2's MEGA O.I.S. optical image stabilization.

Great image. I'm a big fan of that 16:9 format.Is that feature found on any DSLR's ? Her expression is priceless.

It's not a feature on any digital SLR. But it's easy enough to crop to that format. It's cool that the camera does it for you, but if you really consider how they do it, it's a little cheesy. The LX2 is a 10-megapixel camera - but only at the 16:9 format. So the other two ratios it offers essentially crop the image. I usually shoot at 2:3 so most of the time the camera is actually an 8-megapixel camera when I'm using it. Not that it's a big problem. But I do feel like it's a little bit of a stretch to call it a 10-megapixel camera when that's only true for one, obscure aspect ratio. On the other hand, I agree that it's a fun format and I have enjoyed using it.
