Nice flowers, but I guess more contrast well be better. You can control it in a software (even via canon ZoomBrowser, that goes with the camera). Else try to use a frame for your photo.A picture is worth a thousand words .....
I know about Picassa and apply it as organizer prog. For picture editor I use Photoimpact 12 (80 eur cost). It has all that need for photo working (resize and croping func, light corrector, angle corrector, many frames, filtering, noise redution funcs, fringing correction and many many others useful functions. And it is very easy to for using, significantly easier than PhotoShop. Practically, each my photo (more or less) goes through correction via Photoimpact. We make digital photos and the correction is our advantage to improve .jpg file from camera.
