The image is not cropped as the Tokina AT-X 124 gives full frame image above 18mm. The noise reduction on the camera was not use as I forgot to set it.

Thanks Glenn for your comment. We sometimes get these clear nights followed by a bad frost. The sky that night was brilliant and I couldn’t resist taking this photo.

Personally I would eliminate the tree branches from the lower right corner.

The bright green tree branches are very distracting. Other than that, this is a very beautiful picture. Excellent work. Keep it up!

The situation regarding the tree and the branches was a difficult one for me to make. I wanted to give the photo some prospective on its size. Without the branches the image could have been taken through a high powered telescope. After consulting with a couple of other photographers I decided to leave them in. Thanks your comments and I will take them on board in future photos.

Frans,forgetting for a moment the picture techno, I do a bit of amateur stargazing,is that not the center of our little galaxy?
