Sweet super XC whip! Was that taken at Tahoe or Idlewilde?
The only criticism I have is that the rider's face is so dark. I don't know if you did any post-processing. But I think you could lighten the shadows on the rider enough to give more detail without making it obvious.

I did a little PP and I agree about the face. I have this issue a LOT (shadows on faces from harsh midday sun), but have struggled to find a good method to correct it without 'making it obvious'. I would love to see how it could be done.
I have some more shots I'll put up from the weekend that I'll post when I get a chance.

I've got all kinds of tricks up my sleeve for eveing out lighting. In my opinion, you could have lightened this overall a bit - just until the highights in the dirt start to blow out. But after that it's Photoshop masked adjustment layers. You can work magic if you know how to use them subtly.
Love this photo! I did that race about three years ago and it was sweet. That's a super fun, flowy trail. Did it on the singlespeed and it was excellent on a hardtail.
