Macro capture. Flash was diffused with a 1"x1" piece of plastic that I cut from a opaque white milk jug. :O) Captured in total darkness.

Side by side in PS the difference is minimal. This has a tad more "life" and "presence" and is preferable. Without the corny drop it would have been a "9". A beautiful rose, Rick !

I love the thought of you taking pictures of flowers in the middle of the night.....the onlookers must think you are insane.

Actually this was taken in the middle of a open space preserve.It was me myself, I ...oh yeah + a 1/4 moon

As the crop goes. I could have left it alone .I may just repost the original. I must have been target fixated.Tired

extreme beauty man!! i made up a diffuse filter or two back in the day and one made from the plastic that covers flourescent light fixtures in kitchens and bathrooms worked best for me.
