This is my first of four photos in the gallery about the noise factor. For more examples about ISO400 see great site of Isabel Cutler http://www.pbase.com/isabel95/canonpowershota80.Her and my experience say that for quality photos it is more important size of the pixel than their quantity(in same sensor matrix of course). This day one can see that many cameras have 5-6 and ever 8 MP in same sensor matrix (e.g. 1/1.8'). Theoretically such cameras would to have more noise and worse dynamic factor(d). For example Canon A80 has the density=100pix/mm2 and d=10( it is the best in class 4-5 Mp). New Canon G6 model with 7.1MP has 185pix/mm2 and can we wait worse quality? If it is so, why Canon (Kodac,Casio and othes) do it? I seem that it is marketing only. Who would like to discuss on this thema?
