What is the name of this forest Gary?
Was this a major event? How many acres burned ? % containment of the fire at this point? When was this shot taken?

Nature clearing the forest or a man-made blunder?
Curious.

The forest is the Coconino National Forest it's the largest Ponderosa Pine forest on earth, The Fire was the Brin Fire which took place in Oak CreekCanyon consuming about 4000 acres, but it was in such an unmanagable area that there were fears that both the cities of Sedona and Flagstaff would today be nothing but an ash pile if the didn't make it the highest priority forest fire in the nation. Needless to say they were successful in there efforts, but only living eleven miles from it I definently had the irreplaceables packed and ready to go. Thanks for your comments.
