What is why I do not want a SLR! Now I would like Canon S3 IS (36-420mm) insteed.

Nice! That's a mirror-reflex lens - probably a 500mm. It might even be a 1000mm lens. Looks like a pretty old one, too. That's very cool. Tell him to post a review!

John, I know it but what is the cost each MM of the zoom in the solution if I did not do pictures for saling? Canon S3 +Raynox 2.2 PRO (all for 500$) gives me 940mm with image stabilizer, and I can walk with the solution and print pictures 30x20cm. That is enough for me.

John, I am agree with you on 100%. A SLR makes high quality photos. I do not say that compact is better than SLR! We all clearly understand that Bently is better than Subaru but ... Such situation is in photography too. Last "Photo ONE" camera has 39 mp resolution and very big sensor, and it is significantly better that a NICON. Want quality - pay great many!.I think you will not buy it for your many. Recently I said only that for me by many reasons SLR is non-suitable for my photography. You do not see differences between photos on computer screen since it has 1.5 Mp resolutions.For high quality printing a compact is not concurent to a SLR, but this class of camera has many limitations in outdoor photo. We have many dust days in Israel and by this reason one can not use chenged lens possibility. The cost of high quality lens is very expansive, but I would be happy if someone present me SLR and lens .

you know that i put this picture up knowing that one of you wonderful folks would respond.... but i do like the picture too. i love this forum!! I LOVE THIS FORUM!! this is like going to school ...you really get to hang with folks who are interested in the things that you are too. and the talent is just blazing!! i'm constantly dazzled by coming here and looking at great ART.
the lens is a 500 mm mirror lens and i gave him a tripler to play with and got to see it at 1500 mm. it was pretty cool but the tripler gives it some bad trade-off qualities....sharpness vs. magnification. regardless it's quite a lens. bright too.
i haven't taken a roll with my 35 mm since i got my digital camera. now i want a bigger and quicker ...etc. mostly i miss my lenses. my sister shoots 35 mm and PAYS for the privelege. i shoot a ton of stuff and can throw most of it away and don't have to pay. that's wayyyy cool.

Michael, I am agree with you and love too this gallery and its members. We have possibility upload photos and know opinions of others members, and we can study to improve our pictures thanks the gallery... and can find soul like you. It is very interesting hobby for me!
