about macro photo I wrote you that all SLR cameras have difficults to do it because ofparticularity larger lens. They have minimal focus at 28-100cm and from this distance one can produce DOF 0-10mm. In contrast this, compact camera does macrophoto from 0-5 cm usually, and you can apply suitable position with swiveled display).With SLR you can to obtain sharp only on flat object. Special Macro lense are match expansive (700-2000$ and more). See the table of lens parameters for zuiko 40-150mm. You can improve situation a little if will use olympus extantion tube e-25mm between camera and lens.A picture is worth a thousand words .....
