I was trying to get a representation of the height and density of the trees in Toolangi State Forest, and discovered that the dynamic range of the camera was not going to provide what I wanted, at least not in a single shot. The photo gamma was adjusted to bring out context of the bark. The “Unsharpen Mask” was used twice, first at 250 to bring up the contrast and second at value of 1 to sharpen the leafs near the top of the tree. Unfortunately the lack of dynamic range in the camera saturated the leafs, leaving them white.
