I like your experiments, they're fun to look at. I'm not familiar with the filters and what effect they are supposed to have individually (and together, of course). Great light and shadow on the clouds. When I click to enlarge, the center black part is not as effective as it is when I viewed it smaller, I think because it is stark black and white, whereas the clouds are many shades. Is it really a bush? Please don't laugh at my naive questions ... ;-)

Thanks Alex... Yes, It is a bush.
Filters allow many different "feelings" to enhance a normal capture or to go wild as I did here.

I tend to experiment alot, glad you can relate.

Definatley your style Rick, I knew it was you before I even clicked on the image

. I like this alot, very eye catching for sure (as most of these style images from you are, hence MIcheal's request for a coffee table book should not go unnoticed!). How are you mounting your filters on your IS? Are you hand holding them against the lens by chance?

I like the feeling this shot instills. I wonder what it would be like if there was just a little more detail in the tree. I really like the shot though.
