The Fujifilm X-E1 has an HDR feature called Dynamic Range that combines multiple images in the camera to produce a JPEG image with increased dynamic range. You can set it manually for 100, 200 or 400, which I believe refer to percentages of dynamic range. You can also set it to Dynamic Range Bracketing, which is what I've done here. This is the third of three images, shot at the DR 400 setting.
