I love shooting parties with flash and a slow shutter speed. But it seems like a lot of the newer cameras are too smart to let me get the mix of blur and flash that I like. So I was psyched to discover that this technique worked great with the Fujifilm X-E1. It didn't hurt that you can bounce the camera's pop-up flash and I had a low ceiling to work with at this party. The only problem is focusing. The X-E1's AF is terrible in low light. So I found a bright spot the I prefocused on to get this great photo of this couple dancing. Love this photo
