I shot this at a small creeek crossing on a trail at Solitude ski resort up above Salt Lake City. I pre-focused, forced the flash on and composed my shot and then let Jenni ride through. There is a fair amount of post-processing with this one, to get the foreground and background balanced. The important thing here was to make sure I didn't blow the sky in the original exposure. It's fairly easy to lighten shadow areas with JPEG images. But if you blow the highlights, there's no bringing them back.
