Due to Global Warming (presumably) the unusually high temperatures in the low 20C / 70F attracted many species of butterflies migrating north for the summer. For the Red Admiral, there is a certain temperature range they would fly to and this year they are much further north earlier than previous years. In some cases they were spotted in people's backyards by the hundreds...
