I like this composition. The colors and framing are interesting and really get my attention. The sky looks a little noisy or posterized when I look closely. I guess it doesn't really matter. Maybe it's the image file processing? Anyway, I think this is a creative photo and that's what really matters.
Photographic illustration at its best. Yes, it looks processed and high-contrast and close-cropped and... it works. Perfect for a poster or framed art. Thumbs up.
Sigma's seemingly do this part of time with the sky and contrasting colors. This appears to related to the lens and how it is coated - digital optimized lens or not. This coupled with it being converted at not the the highest quality JPEG level probably added to the effect.
