Shot shows very small part of Durhams famous river banks. In the backround can be seen Framwellgate Bridge which was built in 1120 and all compliments to the architect,as up until 1970 it was still the main route for traffic through the city.I may add it was a nightmare as well, the streets are so narrow that the traffic was almost up on the path. This is very popular-I am pleased to say--with American visitors and we get a lot of them in the summer months.I have met a few and gladly showed them the older and more remote parts of our City.
