A beautiful heap resting in an abandoned cornfield in southern Michigan. The photo was shot on Ilford HP5 400. I printed this photo on my Lucht V7 Package printer on Fuji color paper producing the sepia tone. I then scanned the print and tweeked it in photoshop7. Please let me know what you think.

A very neat shot. The sepia tone adds a timeless element to the image but I think it is a little oversaturated. Overall, still very nice work.

i like the photo alot it would not look nearly as good if it was in color or B&W. i do however find it to be kinda dark. -andrew-

Great Shot, needs more contrast, or just bring it up a notch it is dark, but not too much or maybe it will loose its eerie quality.. I like the exxagerated colors...it reminds me of infared film..very nice photo.

I really like this one John. It brings me back to my younger days. Conventionally some might say it's a bit over-saturated, but I like it just the way it is.

Thank you Lara! I love this image too. It is a scan of a much better print. I am still getting the hang of that scanner. It's a bit more difficult than one might think to get a good scan.

Maybe it's just my monitor, but it's very hard for me to look at - the contrast level makes my eyes bug out, with a high level of contrast between the sky and the ground, and a low level amongst the car and the other parts of the ground. I doubt this monitor's perfect, but I would still be tempted to either lighten the car/ground or darken the sky a bit...

treymix, is it possible your monitor may need calibration? I don't get such a harsh contrast.

It may be a simple adjustment of the contrast on your computer at work will make a difference.

It's an excellent pic. I particularly like sepia and color tints, so this is my kind of thing. Very nice.

Hi Almo,
I really enjoy this shot. I would add a little more contrast to give the car some punch, as it gets a little lost in the color cast, however I really enjoy the color cast, so I wouldnt want to see less of that.
