More Ansel attempts on my part. This is a glacial lake that is bright green/turqoiuse in the summer and lots fabulous vistas. I can't wait to return to lake Luoise and get some pix of that!

Pretty nice. Makes me excited since I'm headed for Canmore next week. Lake Louise is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The water color is hard to believe. It looks like they dye it.

This photo is pretty nice. I really don't like the trees sticking up in the foreground. They're a very unnecessary distraction. I also think there's a problem with the snow on the lake. It was actually hard for me to identify it as snow. I think a different angle, without the trees, and some shore to help us see that it's a frozen lake, would help a lot. Of course - hindsite is 20/20. Your processing is pretty good. I don't know what you did. But if you don't know about masked adjustment layers, you should check them out. That's where the real power of Photoshop is. They would help you do more selective adjustment of different parts of the image. And Mr. Adams was all about heavy interpretive adjustment of his images.

Appreciate the tips. I've only just started using PhotoShop and haven't gotten much past B&W conversion and a little burning & dodging though none were used on this pic.

Hey, If you wanted to download this pic and make a few adjustments and then reload, I'd like to see what can be done in the hands (or mouse) of an expert.
