Wonderful catch Peter. The use of b&w just intensifies the effect of the image. Well done!

Thanks OT, actually this is not a B&W picture it's colour, just that the dog is B&W and its collar is black, but if you look closely on its chest and front paws, you will see pink. The dog was at the entrance of a shop where the sun was shining. Taking my light reading on the dog itself made everything around him dark, I just accentuated it so any remnants of light would be blackened. I of course touched up the part in front of the dog which was light and made that black. Else it's straight out of the camera with no conversion to B&W.

Yep my bad, I see the little tinges of pink now. Non the less a very fine image.

I saw the B & W comment Larry added earlier, I came back to comment on the fact that its hard to tell if it is B & W or color, due to the subject matter it could go either way. I clearly see the pink now when clicked. Love the shot
