an observation on the XT's viewfinder in this situation: it's so small in the XT that you can't quite see what's going on with the owl when you're shooting. I knew it was turning its head and I could see the eye, but I couldn't make out subtlties with the eye or head position. The image in the XT's viewfinder is a bit small and thus you kinda know it looks cool but you don't know exactly. Compared to, say a film camera like the EOS 7N, which is equipped with a gloriously bright and big viewfinder, the XT is a great machine but not with some compromises which might bug ya now and then.
