They are huge Jack..and I have been chased by them. They attack the cicadas and drag them screaming to a hole they have already dug in the ground, then pull them down inside (where I assume they sting them)
nice bug shot dana, in japan when we were grade schoolers my friends and i would catch these and tie fishing string to them and "fly" them around. i remember loving the sound that they made in the trees...
