WOW, I love spiders and this is a goodie! What geographical location is this?
Did the spider start "trampolining" the web when you got the camera close?
I used to watch a spider weave their orb in the evening. I'd sit for the whole thing and when it was done, I rewarded them with an ant thrown into the web just to watch them wrap it up.
This is really incredible. It's a great capture, executed technically well. And it's also beautiful, with great design elements. I think this is one of the most interesting spider photos I've ever seen. Sure, super macros of a spider eating a bug are neat. But I've never seen a spider photo where the spider and the background are co complimentary. This is really different and cool - at least to me.
