Actually, those red socks are rather special! Together with the red shirt on the photo and a pair of shorts, they comprised an authentic Liverpool FC outfit, specially purchased from Liverpool in connection with their Champions League victory in 2005. It was rather large at the time, she couldn't fit the shorts and the shirt she wore as a dress

So they really are a special pair of red socks - she wants to keep them for her own children
