On business - took the afternoon off today and went to a very cooperative Superstition Mountain. Shot from the Lost Dutchman State Park. little post-processing. Tried to preserve the beauty as it was shot. This is one of many - hope you enjoy!

This is soooooo nice! I can't help thinking it could use a bit of a crop from the bottom. The Four Thirds format never quite agrees with me. When I'm shooting with a Four Thirds camera I almost always crop a little more rectangular - and vice-versa when I'm shooting with a 2:3 camera. This one gets stronger when it gets a little more panoramic, I think.

I also think a little more post processing to get squeeze some more drama out of the slouds and mountains would help. To my eye, this is a good start. And don't think letting what the camera captured is somehow better. That just means you let the Olympus engineers decide how it should look. Feel free to use all the tools you have at your disposal to make a great image. It's what Ansel would have done ;)
