Good to see you! This is a wonderful photo. At first I thought this was a black and white. But when I viewed the large version I picked up the trees on the far side of the lake. I love seemingly monochrome images with little bits of subtle color in them. This one is sweet.
I love Convict Lake. It's been a few years since I've been there. Cool that you caught it with a little fresh snow.
What camera did you use for this? Did you forget to use the camera dropdown? I'm always curious about what kind of gear you're shooting with.

John- I used a Ricoh GX200 for this shot, it wasn't in the drop down (I didn't see the GX100 either fyi). Normally I type them in but I think I missed it on this one.
The GX200 is fast becoming my camera of choice for MTB and long hikes when weight is a concern, it does a great job at low ISO's.
I've done a b/w version of it too, hard to say which I like better.

Thanks for the camera info, Carl. I'll see about getting the Ricoh stuff updated. Where did you buy the GX200? The Ricoh cameras aren't readily available in the US.
