I like this, Jerry. I don't knowmuch about paintball, but this has a nice sense of tension and anticipation. It puts me in the game more than just a photo of one guy with a paintball gun in the woods. I think all the paint spots really add to it as well.
I actually just learned about how they all wear baggy clothes. I was talking to someone who does it and asking why they don't wear helmets and he told me they do anything possible to keep the paintballs from actually breaking on them. Getting a little inside information on strategy was interesting. And your photo illustrates this strategy. I like that.

Yes, I take a battered-n-taped up Nikon F100 and a 60 buck 70-300mm G Nikkor lens into the shooting area (I have to wear a face mask) to take photos. So far only a bit of paint-splash on the gear, it wipes off.
i like this shot, it makes me laugh. it feels like they had some pretty lousy shots facing them and you see the paint splats everywhere around them but none on them.
