The focal point is one the cherry blossoms or least that is what is suggested by the focus of the lens. The background is competing for interest because it is in focus enough to get your attention but not in focus enough to keep you there. You either need to put everything into focus or put the background completely out. Another thing that may help this photo is if you put more of the branch into the picture and had less background, but the competition between the two kills the photo.
