Full disclosure: I staged this image. The image appears at it was taken, other than some sharpening, curves, and a little tone mapping to bring out more detail in the leaf and drops. The rain drops are not rain drops. I sprayed the water on the leaf. This shot wasn't even taken outside. I set this up on a table in my office and I used a light box for viewing slides as my light source.
I still want to find a shot like this in nature, but this was good practice and a lot of fun too!Mike

If you set it up, I think it's even better. I've been wanting a photo like this, too. But I don't have the patience to find one, set up the tripod, and do all the maneuvering necessary to actually make it work. Good for you for taking the intiative to make it happen.

Thanks for the kind words John, Martin and Rick. This was really fun to shoot, and I plan on doing some more in the near future. I just ordered a reversing ring so I can add a 50mm lens to my macro set up. I'm hoping to get the drop even larger in the frame.Mike
